The Project Athena App was created to elevate and reinvent the PC experience. Advancing a set of foundational, real-world usages and functionality, based on the user needs of audio and video collaboration and enabled by deep, original research and cross-industry collaboration and co-engineering.
The app introduced the user to a set of human-centered functionalities. The first was 'intelligent collaboration', a set of feature-rich collaboration tools. The team crafted a set of compelling new features, enabled by experiential engineering, delivering the next generation of digital experiences for the PC ecosystem. I led the experience and prototyping team to advance this from a concept into a robust prototype, that could be pressure tested and assessed. We united multiple internal skillsets, external agency talents, and client and customer feedback to deliver the final product.
Athena and its public-facing brand EVO were used as a catalyst to drive device and service partners to 'reach and stretch' their existing digital offerings and was coordinated with Microsoft to impact and influence the current and future versions of Windows OS.
